Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier has been sent to Los Angeles to undergo tests on his injured anke, MLB.com reports. Ethier has made just one pinch-hit appearance and no starts since Sept. 13 due to a sprained ankle.
Manager Don Mattingly is worried Ethier, who has hit .272/.360/.423 with 12 home runs and 52 RBI in 482 at-bats, won't be available for the first round of the playoffs.
