Bud Norris aggravates back injury
Astros starter Bud Norris had to leave Tuesday's start against Kansas City after six scoreless innings due to the aggravation of a back injury, MLB.com reports. It was unfortunate for Norris, who saw his bullpen blow his lead.
Norris, who was originally expected to start Sunday before back spasms pushed him back, allowed just five hits and two walks over six sharp scoreless frames in the no-decision. He struck out two and had thrown just 88 pitches at the time of his departure. His ERA is at 3.86 on the year.
The 28-year-old rebounded nicely from allowing seven runs over five innings his last time out at Detrot in a loss. He's otherwise been solid this year for a poor team. Now his next start is in jeopardy. That start is scheduled for Monday against Colorado, if he can make it.
