Center fielder Coco Crisp exited Monday afternoon's game with a right shin contusion, the Athletics announced. He fouled a ball off the shin in the sixth inning.
Crisp, 33, spoke to the trainer and manager Bob Melvin for several minutes before staying in the game and walking off the injury. He remained in the game to finish the at-bat but was taken out between innings.
In 109 games this season, Crisp has hit .258/.333/.430 with 17 stolen bases. He hit his career-high 17th home run on Monday. Groin, hamstring, heel, back and wrist problems have hampered Crisp this season, but only the hamstring required a DL stint.
