Dodgers second baseman Howie Kendrick is set for an MRI on his injured left hamstring Monday, but Don Mattingly isn't expressing optimism.

"I think we all know how these hammies go," he told the Orange County Register.

It appears likely that Kendrick is destined for the disabled list. His absence would be a blow to the team as he has five consecutive multi-hit games and owns a .296/.341/.418 slash line on the season.
