Mariners first baseman Logan Morrison was forced out of Sunday's contest against the Rangers because of a cut on his forehead, MLB.com reports.
Morrison slammed his bat against the wall in the dugout and a piece broke off and hit him near the eye. He was replaced by John Buck in the sixth inning because of the injury. He finished 0 for 3 before leaving the game. He is hitting .135 with one homer and two RBI in just 37 at-bats. His status remains uncertain for Monday's series opener at home against the Padres.
