Red Sox infielder Will Middlebrooks snapped out of a slump in a big way Wednesday, with a career-high seven RBI to lead the way in a 15-5 win over the Rockies.

Middlebrooks homered twice in the game, accounting for all seven runs. He hit a three-run shot in the fifth inning, and followed that up with a grand slam in the eighth. Middlebrooks finished the game 2 for 5 with a pair of strikeouts as well.

Middlebrooks has disappointed this season, but he has come on well since returning to the majors in early August. He is hitting .298 with eight home runs and 24 RBI in 131 at-bats since his return.
