With the second pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, the Orlando Magic selected Victor Oladipo out of Indiana.

The second selection in this draft is the lanky 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Indiana who could be one of the best defensive players on the wing in a couple of years. Oladipo exploded onto the basketball scene this past season by providing big dunks, 44.1 percent from the 3-point line and incredible defense that has drawn comparisons to players likeAndre Iguodala and Tony Allen.

For the Magic, this is the first year of their big rebuild since getting rid of Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers last summer and starting over with their roster. He's added to a team with a lot of promising young players like Nikola VucevicTobias Harris (acquired midseason) and Maurice Harkless. Oladipo may have to compete with Arron Afflalo for playing time at the shooting guard, unless they can unload him and his contract this summer.

Oladipo's big jump in 3-point shooting is one of the main reasons he went from a mid-first-round pick to the second pick in the draft. He had an increase of 23.3 percent from downtown. He'll join a changing backcourt, assuming that Jameer Nelson will eventually be supplanted by a younger point guard.

The Magic are scheduled to pick again at 51.
