Kings guard Isaiah Thomas came off the bench to be a spark plug in a loss at home to the Hawks Tuesday night. Thomas fueled a comeback bid in the fourth quarter.

The point guard scored 26 points to lead the team over 28 bench minutes. He shot 8 of 17 from the field with a 3-pointer and 9 for 9 from the free throw line. Thomas added five assists, two rebounds and a steal in the contest.

The 24-year-old has outplayed starter Greivis Vasquez in the early going of the season. He could be starting himself before long.
