Konchar grabbed one rebound in four minutes during Friday's win over Minnesota.
Konchar logged his first minutes in three games but was a non-factor for the Grizzlies. The guard has totaled just nine points and five rebounds in his last four appearances dating back to March 15.
Konchar didn't play in Thursday's loss to Milwaukee.
This was the second straight game that Konchar didn't take the floor, as the guard has all but fallen out of the rotation lately. Konchar has posted just two points dating back to Feb. 22.
Konchar (coach's decision) didn't leave the bench Friday in the Grizzlies' 109-95 win over the Pistons.
The Grizzlies were without one of their key wings in Dillon Brooks (thigh), but the returns of Desmond Bane (personal) and De'Anthony Melton (shoulder) from multi-game absences were enough to bump Konchar from the rotation. Brooks' eventual return will only push Konchar further down the pecking order on the wing. Before failing to see the court Friday, Konchar had appeared in six consecutive games, averaging 2.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 14.5 minutes.
Konchar recorded five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), five rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal in 20 minutes Monday in the Grizzlies' 133-102 win over the Spurs.
Konchar stuck in the rotation for a third straight game with Grayson Allen out (COVID-19 health and safety protocols), and he received a little more playing time than normal with the Grizzlies limiting minutes for all of their starters in the blowout. The second-year wing has shown the ability to put up interesting all-around numbers on a per-minute basis, but he doesn't have a clear path to more playing time while all of Kyle Anderson, Dillon Brooks, De'Anthony Melton and Desmond Bane healthy.
Konchar played seven minutes off the bench in Monday's 108-104 win over the Suns, contributing four points (2-3 FG), two assists, one rebound and one steal.
After missing four games with a left ankle sprain, Konchar was cleared to return to action Jan. 13 in Minnesota, but head coach Taylor Jenkins still elected to leave the second-year wing out of the rotation for two consecutive contests. Konchar stepped back into a role on the second unit Monday, taking De'Anthony Melton's spot in the rotation. While Konchar made the most of his limited minutes, he's unlikely to see his playing time pick up much from this level unless the Grizzlies lose other wing players to injuries.
Konchar (ankle) is available to play Wednesday against Minnesota.
This will be the guard's first game in over a week, as Konchar has missed the past four contests with a left ankle sprain. Across five outings this season, Konchar is averaging 5.8 points in 19.6 minutes.
Konchar (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves.
Konchar has missed the past four games due to a sprained left ankle, but he could make his return Wednesday. He's played a rotational role for the Grizzlies this season, averaging 5.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.4 steals in 19.8 minutes.
Konchar (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Cleveland.
The 24-year-old will be sidelined for the fourth straight game due to the left ankle sprain. Desmond Bane should continue to have an expanded role in Konchar's absence.
Konchar (ankle) is out Friday against the Nets.
The second-year wing will miss a second consecutive contest. In his absence, Desmond Bane should continue seeing extra run and usage.
Konchar (ankle) is out Thursday against the Cavaliers.
Konchar will miss a second straight game due to a sprained left ankle. In his absence, Desmond Bane should continue seeing minutes in the 20s.
Konchar will not play in Tuesday's game against the Lakers due to a sprained left ankle.
The second-year guard has been a part of the regular rotation thus far, and his absence will leave the Grizzlies even more shorthanded Tuesday. Konchar played 17 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Lakers, finishing with four points, five rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block.
Konchar agreed to a four-year, $9 million deal with the Grizzlies on Saturday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Following four seasons at Purdue-Fort Wayne, Konchar signed with the Grizzlies as an undrafted free agent on a two-way deal last season. Overall, the rookie averaged 2.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 9.5 minutes. Konchar also appeared in 20 games in the G League for the Memphis Hustle. He saw 29.1 minutes per game, averaging 12.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.8 steals. He also shot 56.5 percent from the field. Konchar is unlikely to be fantasy relevant this season, but the organization seems to have faith in him as a long-term rotation player.
Konchar finished with eight points (4-4 FG, 0-1 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one block in 18 minutes during Monday's 124-97 loss to the Clippers.
Konchar saw decent run Monday as the Grizzlies continue to trend in the wrong direction. Up until this point, Konchar has had no fantasy value at all and perhaps this is a one-off. However, the Grizzlies are battling a couple of key injuries and Konchar certainly has the ability to contribute in multiple categories when given the opportunity. Those in deeper formats should keep an eye on the rotations moving forward.
Konchar finished with 17 points (7-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 13 rebounds, six assists and four steals across 37 minutes during Tuesday's 111-97 G League win over Agua Caliente.
Tuesday marked Konchar's first appearance in the G League since Jan. 25. He returned in style, dropping 17 points and 13 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season. He added value on the defensive end as well by nabbing four steals. As the team enters the All-Star break, Konchar is averaging 12.2 points on 57.1 percent shooting along with 8.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.9 steals through 20 G League games this season.
Konchar was assigned to the G League on Sunday.
Konchar was recalled by the Grizzlies in late January and appeared in four games, averaging 1.8 points in 6.3 minutes. The 23-year-old is averaging 11.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.7 steals in 19 games with the Memphis Hustle this season.
Konchar was recalled from the G League on Sunday.
Konchar will join the Grizzlies with Jae Crowder (knee) and Grayson Allen (hip) unavailable Sunday. The 23-year-old has eight minutes in two NBA appearances this season, so he's unlikely to factor into the rotation versus the Suns.
Konchar (concussion) played 28 minutes Friday for the G League's Memphis Hustle in its 152-136 win over the South Bay Lakers. He contributed 16 points (6-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and two steals in 28 minutes.
The appearance was Konchar's first at either the G League or NBA level since Jan. 6 while he contended with the head injury. The two-way player has seen the floor in just two games for the Grizzlies during his rookie campaign, and he's unlikely to receive any opportunities at the NBA level anytime soon while Memphis enjoys relatively sound health from its perimeter players.
Konchar missed Monday's G League game against Santa Cruz while in the concussion protocol.
It's unclear when Konchar will return, as word around the 23-year-old's condition has remained quiet. Bruno Caboclo and Marko Guduric were sent down Monday to receive some work as well as cover for the currently injury-riddled Hustle, who are without Konchar and fellow starter Jarrod Uthoff (shoulder). It remains to be seen how long Caboclo and Guduric will stay in the G League, as it may depend on the availability of Konchar and Uthoff. Konchar's next opportunity to return is Friday against the South Bay Lakers.
Konchar registered 10 points (4-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds and one assist across 28 minutes during Monday's 110-107 G League loss to Agua Caliente.
After averaging 21.5 points and 16.5 rebounds in his last two contests, Konchar produced a more typical game Monday, scoring a modest 10 points while adding eight assists. The 23-year-old has spent time up in the pros this year filling in as a reserve , though his fantasy production resides mainly in the G League in a starting role for the Hustle. Through 11 appearances, Konchar is averaging 13.2 points on 60.4 percent shooting along with 9.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks over 28.9 minutes per game.
Konchar (calf) played 10 minutes Saturday for the G League's Memphis Hustle in the affiliate's 125-118 loss to the South Bay Lakers, finishing with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds, two steals and one assist.
Konchar hadn't played for the Hustle or for the Grizzlies since Nov. 15 while battling a left calf strain, which explains why he only handled limited minutes in his return to action. Expect the undrafted rookie to gradually see his playing time pick up from here while he remains in the G League, though he's unlikely to become a regular option for the NBA rotation this season.
