  • Timberwolves' Donte DiVincenzo: Loaded stat line Sunday

DiVincenzo registered 18 points (7-18 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, six assists, two blocks and four steals over 34 minutes during Sunday's 117-103 victory over the Kings.

DiVincenzo posted an impressive stat line in this win Sunday, surpassing the 15-point mark for a second straight game but also notching at least two tallies in each of the five major categories. DiVincenzo seems to be locked in as the Timberwolves' starting guard for the foreseeable future, and that alone gives him a solid floor, although his ability to fill the stat sheet is also noteworthy from a fantasy perspective. He's averaging 12.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.8 blocks per game since the beginning of December.

  • Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Posts double-double in win

Reid produced 20 points (7-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in 35 minutes of Sunday's 117-103 win over the Kings.

Rudy Gobert left this game early for personal reasons, so the Timberwolves leaned on Reid to close this one out and he didn't disappoint. Reid has been on a heater for Minnesota lately, posting averages of 16.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.7 three-pointers over his last six outings.

  • Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Done for night

Gobert (personal reasons) won't return to Sunday's game against the Kings.

He finished the night with seven points (3-4 FG, 1-6 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and one block across 20 minutes. With Gobert taking an early exit, Naz Reid is likely to pick up some minutes to close this one out.

  • Timberwolves' Bones Hyland: Gets green light

Hyland (knee) will play in Sunday's game against the Kings.

Hyland had previously been considered questionable due to a bruised right knee. With Anthony Edwards (foot) sidelined, Hyland could draw a second consecutive start. He logged just five minutes in the Timberwolves' most recent game before suffering the knee injury.

  • Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: No-go Sunday

Edwards (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Kings.

Edwards will miss a second straight contest due to soreness in his right foot. Bones Hyland drew the start in place of Edwards last time out, and Edwards' absence should also mean more minutes for Terrence Shannon and Jaylen Clark. Edwards' next chance to play will come Wednesday against Memphis.

  • Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Won't go Sunday

Conley (Achilles) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Kings.

Conley will miss his second consecutive contest due to a right Achilles issue, and his next opportunity to play will come Wednesday against Memphis. With the veteran point guard sidelined, Rob Dillingham will likely see increased minutes, especially if Bones Hyland (knee) is downgraded from questionable to out.

  • Timberwolves' Bones Hyland: Questionable to face Sacramento

Hyland (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Kings.

After drawing the start with Anthony Edwards (foot) sidelined, Hyland exited Friday's win over the Warriors in the first quarter due to a right knee contusion and was unable to return. If the VCU product is unable to suit up, Terrence Shannon and Jaylen Clark are candidates for increased playing time, especially if Edwards is downgraded from questionable to out.

  • Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Iffy for Sunday

Edwards (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Kings.

Edwards was held out of Friday's win over the Warriors due to right foot soreness and is in jeopardy of missing his second consecutive contest. If the superstar remains sidelined, Bones Hyland (knee), Terrence Shannon and Jaylen Clark are candidates for increased playing time. Over his last five appearances, Edwards has averaged 28.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.2 blocks across 37.8 minutes per tilt.

  • Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Dishes season-high seven assists

Reid accumulated 18 points (7-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 30 minutes off the bench during Friday's 127-120 win over Golden State.

With Anthony Edwards (foot) unavailable, Reid added some extra distribution duties and set a new season high in assists. The 26-year-old big remains one of the key pieces of Minnesota's second unit, and he's drained multiple three-pointers in eight straight games, averaging 14.6 points, 6.1 boards, 3.8 assists, 3.1 threes and 1.0 steals over that stretch in 29.4 minutes a contest.

  • Timberwolves' Donte DiVincenzo: Drops 21 in win over Golden State

DiVincenzo ended Friday's 127-120 victory over the Warriors with 21 points (7-15 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one block over 35 minutes.

It was DiVincenzo's best scoring effort since Nov. 5, and a huge bounce-back effort after he managed just seven points total in the prior two games. The 28-year-old guard's shot will sometimes go cold, but he's drained at least four three-pointers in seven of the last 11 games, averaging 12.7 points, 4.2 boards, 4.0 assists, 3.2 threes and 1.1 steals over that stretch. DiVincenzo also had a few more shots than usual go his way with Anthony Edwards (foot) and Mike Conley (Achilles) sidelined Friday.

  • Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Double-double against Dubs

Gobert accumulated 24 points (11-13 FG, 2-3 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 35 minutes during Friday's 127-120 win over Golden State.

The double-double was his 10th of the season, and third in five games since the calendar flipped to December. On the month so far, Gobert is averaging 16.8 points, 10.8 boards, 1.8 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.8 steals while shooting an absurd 80.5 percent from the floor -- he's missed only eight of his 41 FG attempts.

  • Timberwolves' Julius Randle: Hit for team-high 27 in win

Randle contributed 27 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 11-12 FT), nine rebounds and six assists across 34 minutes during Friday's 127-120 win over the Warriors.

The 27 points led all Minnesota scorers on the night. Randle has topped 20 points in four straight games on the heels of a somewhat inconsistent November, and through five contests to begin December, the veteran forward is averaging 23.2 points, 5.8 boards, 5.8 assists and 1.4 threes, although he has yet to record a steal or a block on the month.

  • Timberwolves' Bones Hyland: Won't return Friday

Hyland (knee) won't return to Friday's game against the Warriors.

Hyland drew the start for the first time this season but sustained a right knee contusion in the first quarter, posting three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and two assists in just under five minutes. With the VCU product joining Anthony Edwards (foot) and Mike Conley (Achilles) on the sidelines, Terrence Shannon, Jaylen Clark and Rob Dillingham are candidates for increased playing time. Hyland's status will be worth monitoring ahead of Sunday's game against the Kings.

... See More ... See Less
  • Timberwolves' Bones Hyland: Questionable to return

Hyland is questionable to return to Friday's game against the Warriors due to a right knee contusion.

With Anthony Edwards (foot) sidelined, Hyland got the starting nod for the first time this season, though he logged just under five minutes before exiting Friday's contest. If the 25-year-old guard is unable to return, Jaylen Clark and Terrence Shannon are candidates for increased minutes the rest of the way.

  • Timberwolves' Bones Hyland: Starting sans Edwards

Hyland will start against the Warriors on Friday.

With Anthony Edwards (foot) sidelined, Hyland will get the starting nod for the first time this season. He's coming off his best performance of the season in Monday's loss to the Suns, during which he posted 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-6 3Pt), three assists, one rebound and one steal across 16 minutes.

... See More ... See Less
  • Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Won't play Friday

Edwards (foot) will not play Friday against the Warriors.

Edwards was unable to shake his questionable tag and will miss his first game since Nov. 3. With Edwards out of the lineup, Donte DiVincenzo and Julius Randle will likely soak up more usage, while players such as Terrence Shannon, Bones Hyland and Jaylen Clark could see extended run.
