Draft Scouting Report:
Rating: 74.45 (Chance to start)
Pro Comparison: Tony Fields II
Strengths:
Smooth linebacker with a new-age body type. What he lacks in explosion, he makes up for with flexibility and fluidity as an athlete. Knifes through traffic. Does the same against the run. Flashes of high-end block-shed ability. Loose hips and light feet are showcased in coverage. Love that he has experience as a slot defender. Has three-down ability but lower-end starter type.
Weaknesses:
Not big or incredibly fast with speed to power conversion but actually an above-average blitzer. Minimal power. Hustle is mostly good but not a super-charged, springy player.
Accolades:
- 2021: Fifth in Big 12 in tackles (106)
- 2021: Sugar Bowl MVP (record-tying 20 tackles with two sacks)
