Ahmad Bradshaw signs with Colts
The Indianapolis Colts signed Ahmad Bradshaw to a one-year deal on Tuesday.

Ahmad Bradshaw and the Colts have been pretty hot and heavy the last week or so. Bradshaw visited Indy, and though negotiations apparently cooled for a while, it still seemed like the two sides would eventually reach a deal.
And now, according to Bradshaw's agent Drew Rosenhaus and the team, they have:
@jimirsay pleasure doing business with your organization . Ahmad is excited about being be a Colt!

You know who's probably not excited about Ahmad becoming a Colt? Vick Ballard. The incumbent running back and second-year player now finds himself in a situation where he could be losing major carries.
That, of course, presumes that Bradshaw stays healthy. He hasn't been particularly reliable the last few years, having played in just 26 games the last two seasons. Last year's 14-game effort did turn into a 1,000-yard rushing season, though, and the Colts need help at the position.
Additionally, Bradshaw should help keep Andrew Luck off his back -- he was Pro Football Focus' top-rated running back in pass protection in 2012 and hasn't finished outside of the top three in that category since 2009.
Considering it's reportedly just a one-year deal and probably doesn't involve a ton of money, it looks like a pretty smart signing by the Colts. Certainly Bradshaw is just happy to get linked up with a team before minicamp begins.
