Lions receiver Calvin Johnson caught six passes for 98 yards in the loss to the Ravens, numbers that don't look bad on the surface. But it was an uncharacteristically poor performance by Johnson, who was targeted a game-high 14 times.

Johnson dropped a wide-open, 3rd-and-15 pass in the first quarter that would have gained at least 20 yards. He had another drive killer in the second quarter, dropping a perfect throw that would have netted at least 15 yards. That gave Johnson a career-high nine drops this year. After Detroit pulled ahead late, Johnson could not stay inbounds on a 2-point conversion grab.

Johnson was shadowed by corner Jimmy Smith much of the night, and he took a shot to his back after one reception. It was Johnson's second straight game under 100 yards without a touchdown.

On the plus side, Johnson became the first receiver in NFL history to pile up 5,000 receiving yards in a three-season stretch. He'll try to live up to his legend Week 16 vs. the Giants.
