Panthers restructure Jonathan Stewart's contract

The Panthers restructured the contract of running back Jonathan Stewart, reports the Charlotte Observer .

Stewart, who has missed more than half of the past two seasons with injuries, had his base salary reduced from $1.5 million to $785,000.
