Giants' Ben Edwards: Spends season on injured reserve
Edwards (knee - ACL) spent the 2016 season on injured reserve, ESPN reports.
Edwards suffered a torn ACL in May and reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers. He'll hit the open market in the offseason but will likely need to show teams he's fully recovered in order to land another contract.

Ben Edwards: Waived after torn ACL diagnosis
Edwards (knee) was waived-injured Wednesday after being diagnosed with a torn ACL over the weekend, Jordan Raanan of NJ.com reports.
The Richmond product spent most of the 2015 season on the practice squad, and was active for the final two games of the campaign. He was carted off the field for precautionary reasons during a minicamp practice in April, and ultimately tore his ACL during rookie minicamp over the weekend. Edwards was waived in order to clear room on the 90-man roster for a tryout player.

Giants' Ben Edwards: Suffers knee sprain
Edwards was diagnosed with a mild left knee sprain Thursday, Art Stapleton of the Record reports.
Edwards went down with what looked to be a serious knee injury, but further examination revealed optimistic results, and he should be able to resume offseason workouts. He appeared in just the final two games of the Giants' regular season in 2015, recording a single catch for nine yards on two targets.
