Ray Kaunisto of the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings must have recently watched the movie Super Troopers as he channeled one of the comedy's more popular scenes during an intermission interview this weekend.
The scene in question is one where one of the characters attempts to subtly utilize the word “meow” while addressing a person he just pulled over.
Observe:
Kaunisto basically tried to do the same thing during an on-ice interview and he didn't hold back on his meow usage. The big forward dropped seven “meows” during the interview, some a little more out of place than others, but an impressive feat nonetheless.
Unfortunately he couldn’t hit the number from the movie, which was 10, but Kaunisto only had about 40 seconds to work with. Though, he may have the new most inspirational line in hockey: “We gotta get in the corners meow.”
