  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Puts away goal Tuesday

Shine scored a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Senators. Shine's ice time remains heavily limited -- he's averaging 7:08 per game and has been under six minutes in three straight contests. Despite that, he's potted three goals on nine shots over 12 outings this season, all coming since the Olympic break. The 32-year-old winger won't be a factor in fantasy even if he's able to retain a spot in the lineup when the Red Wings are closer to full health.

  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Pots empty netter

Shine tallied an empty-net goal and recorded five PIM in Monday's 5-2 win over the Flames. Shine tied the bow on Tuesday's big win with his empty-net tally late in the third period. The 32-year-old winger is up to two goals, seven shots on net, seven hits and five blocked shots across nine NHL games this season. Patience has paid off for Shine after 10 seasons at the AHL level, as he's making the most of his limited opportunity in Detroit. He'll likely remain with the team while Dylan Larkin (leg) and Andrew Copp (leg) recover from their respective injuries, giving Shine the opportunity to contribute from a bottom-six role.

  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Nets first career goal

Shine scored a goal in Sunday's 3-0 win over New Jersey. In his 14th career NHL game, Shine tallied his first goal to seal the deal for Detroit in Sunday's contest. The 32-year-old winger has scored 96 goals and recorded 221 points across 10 seasons with AHL Grand Rapids. He has scored 21 of those goals this season, proving that his first tally at the NHL level was no fluke. He'll likely stay up with the Wings until Dylan Larkin (leg) or David Perron (groin) are ready to return.

  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Reassigned to AHL

Shine was returned to AHL Grand Rapids on Tuesday. Shine participated in Monday's practice with Detroit after being summoned from the minors on an emergency basis. He has 21 goals and 36 points in 37 AHL appearances this campaign.

  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Summoned from minors

Shine was recalled from AHL Grand Rapids on Monday under emergency conditions. Shine will probably participate in Monday's practice with the Red Wings before returning to the minors. He has 21 goals and 36 points in 37 AHL appearances this season.

  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Returns to minors

Shine was reassigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Thursday. Shine ended up spending less than a day with the NHL club. The Red Wings are off until next Thursday's game in Ottawa, but Shine's short stint at the top level allowed him to join Detroit for a team practice. The 32-year-old has 21 goals and 36 points in 35 outings with AHL Grand Rapids in 2025-26.

  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Recalled from AHL

Shine was recalled from AHL Grand Rapids on Thursday. Shine hasn't yet appeared in an NHL game this year, but he'll have an opportunity to practice with the Red Wings during the final week of the Olympic break. It wouldn't be surprising to see him head back to the minors before Detroit resumes play. Over 35 games with the Griffins this year, he's recorded 21 goals, 15 assists, 32 PIM and a plus-23 rating.

  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Inks two-year extension

Shine signed a two-year, two-way contract extension with the Red Wings on Saturday. Shine has been excellent for AHL Grand Rapids this season, ranking second on the team with 27 points over 26 games. That hasn't led to a call-up yet, but the two-year extension suggests that he'll be in the Red Wings' plans in the short term. He had one assist over his first nine NHL games in 2024-25.

  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Big role in AHL win

Shine scored three goals and added an assist in AHL Grand Rapids' 10-1 win over Texas on Tuesday. Shine broke out of a slump in a big way -- he had posted just two helpers over his last four games. The winger has been effective this year with nine goals and 15 points over 12 appearances. The 32-year-old probably won't get much of a chance with the Red Wings despite his solid play for the Griffins so far.

  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Leads Griffins to win

Shine scored twice on five shots and added an assist in AHL Grand Rapids' 4-2 win over Rockford on Saturday. Shine is up to five goals and three helpers through six contests in the AHL this year. He earned his NHL debut in 2024-25 on the strength of a 14-goal, 46-point effort over 61 regular-season games with the Griffins. The 32-year-old could get a call-up in a pinch, but the Red Wings have trended younger this year, so Shine's strong play so far may simply come as an AHL veteran helping to guide the organization's prospects through the pipeline.

  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Pair of points Friday

Shine scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in AHL Grand Rapids' 5-2 win over Manitoba on Friday. Shine saw some time with the Red Wings last year, earning one assist, 16 hits and 15 PIM in nine outings. He's picked up three points across three AHL games so far. It'll likely take multiple injuries in Detroit or a truly impressive run of scoring for the 32-year-old winger to get another call-up.

  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Sent down by Detroit

Shine was assigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Friday. Shine was called up by Detroit in early March, and he made five appearances during his time with the NHL club. He was held without a point and recorded eight hits, a blocked shot and 15 PIM while averaging 8:34 of ice time. However, the 31-year-old appeared in just one of the team's last eight games and should have more consistent opportunities to contribute in the AHL.

  • Red Wings' Dominik Shine: Called up by Detroit

Shine was recalled from AHL Grand Rapids on Friday. Shine was sent to the minors in early February, but he'll rejoin the NHL club ahead of Friday's game against the Capitals and will provide additional depth after Carter Mazur (upper body) was placed on injured reserve. He's made four appearances for the Red Wings this year, logging an assist, eight hits and two blocked shots while averaging 8:44 of ice time.

Shine signed a two-year contract with Detroit on Monday, Shine's new deal goes through the 2025-26 season. He has 11 goals and 32 points in 40 games with AHL Grand Rapids this campaign. The 31-year-old Shine could make his NHL debut in Monday's game versus the Kings if Vladimir Tarasenko (illness) is unavailable.
