Salomonsson has supplied six helpers, two PIM and even plus-minus rating over 17 appearances with the Moose in 2025-26. The right-shot blueliner's promotion from the minors might not bode well for Neal Pionk's (lower body) availability Wednesday against the Capitals. Salomonsson has yet to make his NHL debut.

Salomonsson played the entire 2024-25 campaign with AHL Manitoba, tallying five goals and adding 22 assists in 53 contests. The defenseman was selected in the second round, 55th overall, in 2022 and could make his NHL debut this season.

Salomonsson was loaned to AHL Manitoba on Monday, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Salomonsson produced two goals and 11 points in 31 regular-season games with Skelleftea AIK of the SHL in 2023-24. He added one goal and five assists in 16 playoff contests. The 20-year-old defender will get his first taste of North American hockey at the minor-league level, and he could make his NHL debut if he impresses.
