  • Devils' Brian Halonen: Three points in Comets' win

Halonen scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Utica's 7-4 win over Rochester on Sunday. Halonen snapped a four-game slump, his longest of the season at the AHL level, with this performance. He's up to 15 goals, six assists and a plus-6 rating over 28 appearances. Even with time in the NHL this season, Halonen could still match his 40-point performance from 62 AHL games in the 2024-25 regular season.

  • Devils' Brian Halonen: Pots pair Saturday in AHL

Halonen scored twice in AHL Utica's 6-3 loss to Syracuse on Saturday. Halonen has nine goals and two assists over 10 outings in January for the Comets. The 27-year-old's surge has him up to 13 goals and four assists through 21 contests this season. Halonen got a nine-game look in the NHL earlier this season, but he'll likely have to wait for injuries to open up spots on the Devils' roster.

  • Devils' Brian Halonen: Gets two goals in AHL loss

Halonen scored two goals on five shots in AHL Utica's 5-4 overtime loss to Laval on Friday. Halonen was out of action over the last four weeks, but he made a big impact in his return to the Comets' lineup. For the season, he has six goals and two assists over 12 outings. Halonen had a goal in nine NHL outings earlier in the year, and if he can continue to play well, he'll be in contention for another call-up.

  • Devils' Brian Halonen: Headed back to AHL

Halonen has been assigned to AHL Utica by the Devils, the team announced Sunday. Cody Glass (upper body) returned Thursday against the Canadiens and Connor Brown (upper body) is day-to-day and inching closer to a return, so Halonen's services are no longer required at the NHL level. The 26-year-old Halonen made the most of his time with the big club, scoring his first NHL goal, but that was his only point in nine appearances so far this year.

  • Devils' Brian Halonen: Summoned from AHL

Halonen was recalled from AHL Utica on Sunday. The Devils placed Evgenii Dadonov (hand) on injured reserve in a corresponding move. Halonen has one goal in two minor-league games this campaign. During the 2024-25 regular season, he didn't have a point in two appearances with New Jersey while posting one blocked shot and two hits.

Halonen was reassigned to AHL Utica on Monday. Halonen was a healthy scratch in two of three games during his recent NHL stint. • Devils' Brian Halonen: Recalled by New Jersey

Halonen was recalled from AHL Utica on Thursday. Halonen made his NHL debut with the Devils last year by appearing in two games and logging two shots on goal and two hits while averaging 8:17 of ice time. He'll rejoin New Jersey for the first time this season since Stefan Noesen (illness) and Erik Haula (ankle) will be unavailable for Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs. However, it seems unlikely that Halonen will play a significant role for the Devils if he enters the lineup.

  • Devils' Brian Halonen: Elevated from minors

Halonen was called up from AHL Utica on Tuesday. Halonen's promotion would seem to indicate that Kurtis MacDermid (lower body) and Curtis Lazar (lower body) won't be available to face the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. For his part, the 25-year-old Halonen made his NHL debut against the Lightning back on Feb. 25 -- a game in which he registered one shot in 9:07 of ice time.

  • Devils' Brian Halonen: Lands on IR

Halonen (undisclosed) was moved to the non-roster injured reserve Monday. Halonen picked up an injury at some point this preseason but it's unclear when or how long he's expected to be out. The 24-year-old winger has yet to make his NHL debut and will likely head to AHL Utica once he's healthy.
