  • Avalanche's Sheldon Dries: Bumped down a level

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/9/19) Dries was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Friday, Evan Rawal of Mile High Sports reports.

It appears that the Avalanche will continue to feature Andrew Agozzino in the NHL as an indirect replacement for Dries, who is mired in a nine-game point drought with a minus-2 rating over that span. A product of Western Michigan University, Dries -- listed at 5-foot-9 and 185 pounds -- might be short on stature, but he's known as a self-aware pivot with a strong work ethic, so we don't think he's done shuffling between the organization's ranks in 2018-19.

Avalanche's Sheldon Dries: Promoted from minors

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/23/19) The Avalanche recalled Dries from AHL Colorado on Saturday.

Dries will provide some depth up front for the Avalanche in Nashville on Saturday, and he's in the lineup for Saturday's contest as the left wing on the fourth line with Matt Nieto (lower body) unavailable. He owns just 22 points through 58 games at the top level this season, leaving Dries off the fantasy radar in all but the deepest of leagues.

Avalanche's Sheldon Dries: Dropped to AHL

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/17/19) Dries was sent down to AHL Colorado on Sunday, Ryan S. Clark of The Athletic reports.

Dries has been a regular participant on the Avalanche's bottom-six this season, scoring six points in 35 games during his rookie season. The 5-foot-9 forward will head back to the minors where he notched 30 points last year.

Avalanche's Sheldon Dries: Recalled from AHL Colorado

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/2/19) Dries has resurfaced on the Avalanche roster, per the NHL's official media site.

Dries, a rookie who made a name for himself at Western Michigan University, returns to the top level after getting sent to the minors during the NHL's All-Star break. He's already been called up four times this season, which clearly suggests that he's the preferred option for the parent club when injuries strike. Dries has compiled three goals and two helpers over 29 games this season.

Avalanche's Sheldon Dries: Bound for AHL Colorado

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/24/19) Dries was demoted to the minors Thursday, Ryan S. Clark of The Athletic reports.

Dries hasn't seen significant ice time this season (9:19 per game), but has played in 29 contests this year and should find his way back up to the Avs following the All-Star break. Once Vladislav Kamenev (shoulder) is cleared to return, Dries will likely find himself relegated to the press box.
