Chiefs' Noah Gray: Production sputters in 2025
Gray caught three of five targets for 30 yards during Sunday's 14-12 defeat to the Raiders.
Gray's production grew year over year from 2021 until 2024, but he took a big step back in that regard during the 2025 campaign, amassing just 21 catches for 178 yards and failing to find paydirt for the first time in his career. With Travis Kelce a retirement candidate, Gray was once looked at as the potential heir to the starting role, but there are certainly questions as to whether he's a starting-caliber tight end. Pending Kelce's looming retirement decision, the Chiefs' offseason moves should be telling about the team's plans for Gray moving forward.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Claims lone target on TNF
Gray hauled in his only target for two yards during Thursday's 20-13 loss to Denver.
Gray fell below a 50 percent offensive snap share for the third time in the last four games, and minimal production has come over that span, tallying just two catches for 16 yards on four targets. He's got a final audition on tap in Week 18 before the waiting game begins regarding Travis Kelce's decision whether or not to play another season or hang up the cleats, potentially opening a starting role to Gray. Even if Kelce opts to retire, there's no guarantee the Chiefs' brass views Gray as the solution at the tight end position moving forward.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Non-factor against Tennessee
Gray failed to record a single target in Sunday's 26-9 loss to the Titans.
Gray was not targeted for the second straight week despite playing 23 of the Chiefs' 45 offensive snaps Sunday. The 26-year-old tight end's 51 percent snap share was his highest share since Week 11, but the veteran was unable to get involved in an offense that struggled without Patrick Mahomes (knee), who is done for the season. Gray remains far off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 17 rematch against the Broncos.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Blanked in box score
Gray wasn't targeted during Sunday's 16-13 loss versus the Chargers.
Gray's 38 percent snap share was one his lowest rates of the season, and he finished the game without a target for just the second time this season as a result. With starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) done for the season and Travis Kelce ahead of him on the depth chart, Gray's fantasy outlook isn't especially appealing heading into the final three weeks of the season. Even if Kelce opts to retire this offseason, the Chiefs won't necessarily view Gray as the heir apparent at the position in 2026.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Little production on Sunday night
Gray gathered in one of his three targets for 14 yards during Sunday's 20-10 defeat versus Houston.
Gray's lone catch came on the last play of the contest, and he was unable to reel in either of the other two passes headed his direction. The fifth-year tight end hasn't notched more than three catches in a game this year and has yet to reach the end zone, so there isn't a ton to like from a fantasy standpoint. Even if Travis Kelce elects to hang up the cleats following the 2025 campaign, questions remain surrounding Gray's viability as a starting tight end.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Cleared to play Week 14
Gray (concussion/shoulder) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Texans.
Gray entered the league's concussion protocol following the Chiefs' Week 12 loss to the Colts, which prevented him from playing in Kansas City's Thanksgiving Day loss to Dallas. The fifth-year tight end has also been working through a shoulder injury, but he's been cleared to play against Houston after logging a full practice week. Gray will return to his TE2 role behind Travis Kelce, which means less offensive snaps will be available for Robert Tonyan and Jared Wiley.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Full practice Wednesday
Gray (concussion) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice.
Gray missed last week's loss to the Cowboys, but he's progressing well and appears on track to clear the league's concussion protocol before Sunday's game versus the Texans. Gray typically plays more than half the offensive snaps in a game. He has produced 16 receptions for 132 yards through 11 games.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Won't play Thursday
Gray (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Cowboys.
Gray's next chance to see game action will arrive Dec. 7 against the Texans. In his absence Thursday afternoon, Robert Tonyanand Jared Wiley will be next in line for TE snaps that don't go to starter Travis Kelce.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Sitting out Tuesday's practice
Head coach Andy Reid said that Gray (concussion) won't participate in Tuesday's practice, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
With Gray not yet cleared for practice after entering the concussion protocol following Sunday's overtime victory over the Colts, he would appear to be a long shot to play Thursday in Dallas. Assuming Gray ends up being ruled out for the Thanksgiving Day matchup, Robert Tonyan and Jared Wiley would be next in line to provide depth at tight end behind Travis Kelce.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Unavailable for walkthrough
Gray (concussion) was estimated to be a non-participant at the Chiefs' walkthrough Monday.
Gray suffered a concussion in the team's 23-20 overtime win against the Colts on Sunday, so his inability to participate Monday comes as no surprise. The tight end will have to clear concussion protocol in order to play in Thursday's contest against the Cowboys, which feels like a long shot. If Gray is unable to go in Week 13, Robert Tonyan would stand to operate in the top reserve spot at tight end behind Travis Kelce in Dallas.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Possible concussion
Gray is being evaluated for a possible concussion and is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Colts.
Gray was taken to the locker room late in the fourth quarter, and given the stage of the game, it is unlikely that he will return Sunday. Robert Tonyan will be the Chiefs' backup tight end behind Travis Kelce the rest of the way.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Minimal production against Denver
Gray caught two of three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 22-19 loss to the Broncos.
Gray played 36 of the Chiefs' 70 offensive snaps Sunday, behind Travis Kelce (55) and ahead of Robert Tonyan (8). The 26-year-old did not play a big role in Kansas City's passing attack, doing very little with the three targets he saw in the contest. Meanwhile, Kelce dominated from a statistical standpoint, recording nine catches on 13 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown. Barring an injury to Kelce, Gray is not a trustworthy option for fantasy purposes. Next up for the Chiefs is a matchup at home against the Colts.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Season-low snap count versus Bills
Gray couldn't retrieve his lone target during Sunday's 28-21 loss to the Bills.
Gray saw a steep decline in usage during Sunday's tilt, likely due to the Chiefs trailing most of the game and utilizing a more pass-centric approach than usual. Gray's 37 percent snap share marked his lowest snap share of the season, and his 22 offensive snaps were a season-low mark. Gray doesn't possess much fantasy appeal as a backup tight end to Travis Kelce but could move on to the radar should Kelce miss any time in the future.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Targeted four times in Week 8
Gray reeled in two of four targets for 23 yards during Monday's 28-7 victory against the Commanders.
Gray continues to see healthy usage in a heavy two-tight end offensive scheme in KC, playing 55-plus percent of the snaps in every game since Week 2. Even so, Gray doesn't provide a ton in the way of fantasy value, registering more than two catches just once all season while failing to reach pay dirt. Gray figures to remain a background figure in the offense as long as star tight end Travis Kelce is on the field.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Makes most of lone target
Gray gathered in his only target for 28 yards during Sunday's 31-0 victory versus the Raiders.
Gray continued a trend that isn't particularly promising from a fantasy standpoint, logging two or fewer targets for the fourth consecutive contest. His 59 percent offensive snap share is around par for the course, but the Chiefs took a 21-0 lead into the halftime locker room and added 10 more points in the third quarter, leading to a run-heavy approach for much of the second half. Even in close games, Gray isn't involved enough in the game plan to warrant a roster spot in the majority of fantasy formats.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Season-high yardage total in Week 6
Gray reeled in both of his targets for 25 yards during Sunday's 30-17 win versus the Lions.
Gray hasn't posted any fantasy-worthy stat lines this season, notching no more than three catches in a contest. He's recorded just eight catches for 47 yards overall this season and has yet to reach pay dirt after doing so five times last season. Gray isn't of particular fantasy interest as long as Travis Kelce remains available, but he could spark some interest should Kelce miss any time.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Minimal impact in Week 4
Gray gathered in his only target for one yard during Sunday's 37-20 win versus the Ravens.
Gray's Week 4 showing is a bit of a disappointment after he claimed a combined 11 targets over the previous two contests. Gray has combined his season efforts to accumulate just six catches for 22 yards through four games, and any value he may have likely directly links to the availability of Travis Kelce. As long as Kelce is healthy and playing his full complement of snaps, Gray is unlikely to find fantasy relevance, barring the occasional touchdown.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Targeted six times in win
Gray caught three of six targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 22-9 win over the Giants.
Gray played 68 percent of the Chiefs' offensive snaps Sunday, his highest snap share of the season. Meanwhile, teammate Travis Kelce played 74 percent of the snaps, his lowest mark through three games. Despite his increase in snap share and targets, Gray was unable to get much going while the Kansas City's offense continues to try to find its footing early in the 2025 campaign. The 26-year-old remains difficult to trust for fantasy purposes heading into a Week 4 matchup against the Ravens.

Chiefs' Noah Gray: One catch in loss
Gray caught one of five targets for one yard in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Eagles.
Despite seeing an uptick in playing time and targets in Week 2, Gray only had one catch. After playing just 41 percent of the Chiefs' offensive snaps in Week 1 and seeing only one target, the veteran tight end's five targets tied for the second-highest total of any Kansas City pass catcher against the Eagles, and his snap share jumped to 65 percent. With the Chiefs' offense struggling so far this season and Travis Kelce healthy, Gray's does not have a clear path to meaningful production. The 26-year-old should remain far off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 3 matchup against the Giants.
