Braves' Eli White: Sent down to Triple-A

Atlanta optioned White to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

White's demotion is a case of minor-league options working against a player, as he did everything he could this spring to win a job by turning in a 1.393 OPS with three home runs. The speedy utility player could wind up spending a good amount of time in the majors in 2023, even though he'll open the season in the minors.
