Brewers' Aaron Ashby: Joins roster pool

The Brewers added Ashby to their 60-man roster pool Wednesday.

A 2018 fourth-round pick, Ashby split the 2019 campaign between Low-A Wisconsin and High-A Carolina, compiling a 3.50 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 135:60 K:BB in 126 frames. The 22-year-old lefty likely won't be on the short list for a promotion to the big club in 2020, but an assignment to the Brewers' alternate site in Appleton will at least allow him to regularly face hitters in simulated games after the minor-league season was cancelled.
