Brewers' Aaron Ashby: Locks down Game 2
Ashby secured the save in Game 2 of the World Series against the Rays on Saturday, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out three over 1.2 innings.
It's the third save of the playoffs for Ashby, who notched just four in 75 appearances during the regular season. After recording the final two outs of the eighth inning, the left-hander returned for the ninth and immediately put the tying run on base when Jonny DeLuca led off with a double. Ashby once again stayed composed and retired the next three batters to give Milwaukee a 2-0 series lead. The 28-year-old has arguably been the best pitcher -- starter or reliever -- in the playoffs thus far, as he's fired 15.2 scoreless innings while giving up just five hits with a 17:3 K:BB.

Brewers' Aaron Ashby: Completes series sweep
Ashby earned the save in Game 4 of the NLCS against the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing two hits and no walks while striking out three across three scoreless innings.
Ashby generated seven whiffs on 39 pitches (25 strikes), but Los Angeles still threatened during the seventh and eighth innings, putting a runner on third with one out in both frames, which at the time represented the tying run. The left-hander didn't flinch and escaped both jams, and manager Pat Murphy allowed him to finish off the series sweep even though closer Trevor Megill was ready for the ninth. Ashby fired 6.2 scoreless frames in the series and remains unscored upon through six appearances during the postseason.

Brewers' Aaron Ashby: Picks up save in Game 2
Ashby struck out two without allowing a baserunning in 1.2 scoreless innings to earn the save in Game 2 of the NLCS against the Dodgers on Monday.
The left-hander continued his dominant run this postseason, as he's given up just two hits and three walks while striking out eight across 9.1 frames through five appearances. Manager Pat Murphy continues to utilize Ashby as a Swiss-army knife, as he's already recorded a win, a hold and a save while working in every frame from the fifth through ninth innings. Milwaukee's bullpen has been dominant as a unit in October, with Ashby leading the charge.

Brewers' Aaron Ashby: Collects fourth save of 2026
Ashby earned the save in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Cardinals, striking out two batters across two innings.
Ashby was brought out of the bullpen for the eighth inning, and he needed 26 pitches (13 strikes) to secure the two-frame save, ending the game by striking out Leo Bernal in the ninth. It was the fourth save of the season for Ashby, who has struck out two batters in three of his last five outings. He has a 3.12 ERA and 1.31 WHIP across 89.1 innings this season, along with a career-best 116 strikeouts.

Brewers' Aaron Ashby: Notches third save
Ashby struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his third save of the season in a 1-0 win over the Orioles.
With Trevor Megill having pitched three of the prior four days and blowing a save chance Friday, Milwaukee turned to Ashby to handle the ninth after Abner Uribe worked a scoreless eighth inning. Ashby is having a shaky September of his own, getting scored upon in three of his last seven appearances, and on the month he sports a 3.48 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 8:4 K:BB in 10.1 innings. The left-hander remains firmly in the high-leverage mix however, and over 73 appearances this season he's pocketed 13 wins and 15 holds to go along with his saves.

Brewers' Aaron Ashby: Pockets second save
Ashby gave up two hits in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his second save of the season in a 4-1 win over Atlanta. He didn't strike out a batter.
With Trevor Megill having pitched Thursday and Friday, Ashby got the call in a save situation Saturday and wrapped things up on 21 pitches (15 strikes). Both of his saves have come while Abner Uribe (forearm) has been on the IL, and with the right-hander seemingly on track to return next week, Ashby's window to handle closing duties when Megill is unavailable could be about to close. Ashby's been providing fantasy value even without the saves, posting a 0.00 ERA through 11.1 innings in August with a 1.06 WHIP, 18:5 K:BB, one win and three holds.

Brewers' Aaron Ashby: Registers first save
Ashby recorded a save against the Dodgers on Saturday, walking one batter and striking out two over two hitless and scoreless innings.
Ashby entered to begin the eighth inning with Milwaukee up 4-1. He retired the side in order on 17 pitches and returned for the ninth, when he worked around a two-out walk and subsequent fielding error to finish off the save. It was Ashby's first save of the season, as he's instead been busy racking up victories -- his 13 wins lead MLB relievers and are tied for fourth in the league overall. Ashby has managed that total despite an underwhelming 3.42 ERA and 1.40 WHIP, though he has an impressive 97 punchouts through 68.1 innings and has been scored upon in just one outing (albeit in a five-run blowup) over his past 12 appearances.

Brewers' Aaron Ashby: First in MLB to 10 wins
Ashby improved to 10-0 on the season in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Guardians after striking out two batters while allowing one earned run on one hit and two walks across one inning of relief.
Despite being charged with the Guardians' only run of the night when he surrendered a game-tying RBI single to Gabriel Arias in the top of the seventh inning, Ashby was credited with the win after the Brewers recovered the lead with a Garrett Mitchell home run in the bottom of the frame. Despite making just one start as an opener and not typically pitching in the highest-leverage spots out of the bullpen, Ashby has been a fantasy asset by virtue of racking up an MLB-leading 10 wins. He's also turned in a 2.86 ERA to go with 61 strikeouts over 44 innings, though a high walk rate has played a part in inflating his WHIP to 1.36.

Brewers' Aaron Ashby: Picks up ninth win of season
Ashby (9-0) picked up the win after giving up a hit and a walk with two strikeouts over two scoreless innings against the Cardinals on Wednesday.
Ashby entered the game in the top of the seventh, preventing Milwaukee's 1-0 deficit from expanding while striking out two batters. The 28-year-old went on to pitch another scoreless frame in the eighth before the Brewers tacked on two runs to put him in line for the victory. The left-hander leads the major leagues in wins this season and also leads Brewers relievers in strikeouts (49).
