Cardinals' Kramer Robertson: Designated for assignment

Robertson was designated for assignment Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Robertson was DFA'd Friday after appearing in just one game with the Cardinals this season, going 0-for-1 with an RBI. The move was made in order to create a spot for Zack Thompson on the 40-man roster. Robertson will now remain with Triple-A Memphis, get claimed by another team or be released outright.
