Cubs' Allen Webster: Begins rehab assignment

Webster (arm) began a rehab assignment with the Cubs' rookie-league affiliate Wednesday, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Webster has been on the injured list since mid-May due to radial nerve inflammation. He's since moved to the 60-day injured list, though his eligibility will likely expire before he's ready to return to game action.
