Diamondbacks' Noe Ramirez: Contract selected by Arizona

Ramirez's contract was selected by the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Ramirez signed a minor-league contract with the Diamondbacks in late May, and he posted an 8.00 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in nine innings across eight relief appearances for Triple-A Reno. The right-hander should serve mainly as a low-leverage reliever in the majors after right-hander Keury Mella was designated for assignment Friday.
