Rays' Junior Caminero: Promoted to Double-A

Caminero was promoted to Double-A Montgomery on Sunday, Ben Badler of Baseball America reports.

Caminero is one of the Rays' top prospects and impressed at High-A Bowling Green to begin 2023, slashing .356/.409/.685 with 11 home runs, 32 RBI, 30 runs and two stolen bases over 36 games. The 19-year-old has performed well at every level of the minors so far, and with this promotion he becomes the second-youngest player at Double-A behind Brewers prospect Jackson Chourio.
