Royals' Daniel Tillo: Reinstated and optioned

Tillo (elbow) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list and optioned to Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Monday.

Tillo had already been with Northwest Arkansas while working his way back from Tommy John surgery, a procedure he underwent back in August of 2020. He'd reached the same level prior to suffering the injury but only threw 23.1 innings there back in 2019, so he has some work to do before earning a promotion to Triple-A.
