Tigers' Johnny Barbato: Designated for assignment

Barbato was designated for assignment by the Tigers on Tuesday.

Barbato threw 6.2 innings for the Tigers this season, allowing nine runs while posting an ugly 2:5 K:BB. He was removed from the 40-man roster so that the Tigers could select Matt Hall's contract in a corresponding move.
