Twins' Jake Jewell: Accepts outright assignment

Jewell was outrighted to Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

Jewell was designated for assignment Wednesday. The 29-year-old, who owns a career 7.75 ERA in 38.1 major-league innings, unsurprisingly passed through waivers unclaimed. He'll remain as organizational depth for the Twins for now.
