Hernangomez (COVID-19 protocols) logged 12 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 124-114 loss to the Spurs and finished with four points (1-4 FG, 2-4 FT), six rebounds and two assists.
Hernangomez was back in action after missing the Pelicans' last four games while in the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Prior to entering the protocols, Hernangomez was already starting to see a declining with role with top center Jonas Valanciunas recently overcoming an illness, and Hernangomez could see his minutes reduced even further if head coach Willie Green elects to deploy Jaxson Hayes as the top backup at both frontcourt spots.
