Towns scored a team-high 24 points (7-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 10-12 FT) while adding 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 27 minutes during Monday's 130-120 win over the Clippers. The Minnesota center continues to shine, piling up nine double-doubles in the last 11 games while averaging 26.6 points, 11.5 boards, 4.5 assists, 1.7 three-pointers, 1.3 blocks and 1.2 steals over that stretch. Towns remains one of the few legitimate eight-category threats in the league, and barring injury he seems poised for a huge finish to the season as the T-wolves try to climb back into the Western Conference playoff picture.
Towns put up 32 points (12-20 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal across 33 minutes Friday in the Timberwolves' 122-117 loss to the Pelicans. Anthony Davis' (finger) return to the New Orleans lineup didn't put much of a cramp on Towns' production, as the Minnesota center fell short of his fifth straight double-double put turned in an efficient shooting night from the field and beyond the arc. Towns' four treys tied his best total for the season, which he had previously achieved on three occasions.
Towns finished with 27 points (12-16 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 11 rebounds and five assists over 36 minutes in the Timberwolves' loss to the Magic on Thursday. Towns delivered another strong double-double in Thursday's loss, chipping in a healthy five assists. He's one of the game's most versatile big men - a talented passer with the ability to play with his back to the basket or step back to make an outside jumper.
Towns tallied 26 points (8-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 10-10 FT), 18 rebounds, three assists, and one block in 35 minutes during Tuesday's 108-106 loss to the Grizzlies. Towns was terrific offensively, living at the charity stripe while enjoying an efficient performance overall. He also attacked the boards, delivering a double-double for the seventh time across the last eight games. The 23-year-old big man remains one of the most consistent contributors across all fantasy formats, and he's likely to produce another excellent stat line in Thursday's matchup with a Magic team that probably lacks the personnel to slow him down.
Towns finished with 31 points (12-19 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-9 FT), 12 rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and one block in 37 minutes during Saturday's 107-106 loss to Denver. Towns provided almost one-third of the Timberwolves total Saturday, almost single-handedly carrying them to victory. He continues to put up big numbers on a nightly basis and the change of coach has certainly increased his overall fantasy value. A side note to his recent performances has been the increase in assists. He has recorded at least five assists in four of his past six games, well up on his season average of 3.1.
