Angels third baseman David Freese was held out of the starting lineup Wednesday against the Astros for the second time in five games. Kyle Kubitza replaced Freese in the lineup Wednesday.
Freese hasn't had a multihit game in his last nine starts. He is batting .156 (5 for 32) in that span and is batting just .242 through 18 games in June.
