Diamondbacks starter Archie Bradley threw a bullpen session on Friday, and is expected to throw another one on Sunday. The young right-hander will then pitch a simulated game.
If all goes well, he should go out on a rehab assignment shortly thereafter according to Fox Sports Arizona. Bradley has been on the disabled list since early June due to a shoulder injury. He had his throwing program halted at the start of July, but he resumed throwing about two weeks ago.
The 22-year-old rookie made eight starts for the D-Backs before suffering the injury. He is 2-3 with a 4.80 ERA so far this season.
