Nick Markakis belts 12th home run

Orioles outfielder Nick Markakis hit his 12th home run Monday against the Rays.

Markakis struck in the third inning. With a man on base, Markakis belted a two-run shot on an 89 mph fastball. It was Markakis' only hit of the game. He finished 1 for 5, with one run scored and two RBI.
