Nationals pitcher Tyler Clippard struck out two in a 1-2-3 eighth inning to earn a win in his team's 6-5 victory over the Diamondbacks Monday.
Clippard (3-2) needed just 10 pitches to run through hitters that were otherwise 5 for 9 in the game. He owns a 2.20 ERA and 23:10 K:BB ratio in 16 1/3 innings.
