Russell Westbrook doesn't know when to quit. That's a good thing and a bad thing for OKC. Against the Suns Wednesday, things got chippy as Alex Len gave Westbrook a flagrant-1 foul, and Westbrook got up charged and picked up a tech. Then Markieff Morris and Kevin Durant jawed at each other and picked up techs.
On an ensuing possession, Westbrook attacked the rim, scored, and-one. He celebrated by screaming and glaring at what he said was the crowd but looked an awful lot like the Suns bench. Tech. Boom. So long, Russ, have a great New Year.
That was pretty close to being the Suns bench, anyway.
Westbrook could also wind up in trouble for not leaving the court in an orderly fashion, as the rulebook stipulates. Apparently, there's some sort of rule that the Thunder don't get to have Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant on a court together for more than a half this season.
