Bills running back C.J. Spiller was hoping to continue to play on a sprained left ankle Week 8 at New Orleans, however, coach Doug Marrone had other plans by deactivating the fourth-year running back. Spiller admitted it was the right decision, according to The Buffalo News.

"I wasn't ready," Spiller said. "It was Coach Marrone's decision. I respected that. Everybody knew that I wanted to play. I wanted to help us win. But it was best for me so I can get back to playing normally."
