UPDATE: Rams QB Jared Goff was placed in the NFL's concussion protocol after taking a big hit in Seattle's NFC West clinching 24-3 win Thursday night. Check back for more updates on his condition.

ORIGINAL POST: Rams quarterback Jared Goff had to leave Thursday's night game in the fourth quarter after taking a vicious hit from Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.

After taking the hit, Goff tried to stay in the game, but the concussion spotter in the booth called down to the field to get the Rams quarterback off the field. Goff was then taken to the locker room, and the Rams later announced that he was being evaluated for a concussion.

The ugliness for Goff started in the fourth quarter when the Rams were running a second-and-10 play from Seattle's 17-yard line. On the play, Goff scrambled downfield and had gained a good 14 yards before any Seahawks defender was able to hit him.

However, when that hit came, it came hard.

Let's take a look at another angle.

After Goff left the game, Case Keenum came in and completed just one of three passes for 4 yards.

Before Goff left the game, he had completed just 13 of 25 passes for 135 yards. The Rams were trailing 24-3 when Goff got hurt.
