Former New York Jets " data-canon="New York Jets" data-type="SPORTS_OBJECT_TEAM" id="shortcode0"> teammate and fiscal conservative Antonio Cromartie may not approve, but for Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis, it was worth $50,000 to get No. 24 from safety Mark Barron. That's the word from Uniwatch.com's Paul Lukas, who hears from a well-placed source that that was the going rate for the jersey number.

Revis, who missed most of the 2012 season with an ACL injury, was traded from the Jets to the Bucs in April, a week before the NFL Draft. He promptly signed a six-year, $96 million deal, which makes it a lot easier to part with $50,000 for the right to wear the No. 24 he sported in New York. (Helping: Revis also made about $60 million off the Jets.)

Barron, meanwhile, isn't hurting for cash, either. The No. 7 pick in 2012 signed a rookie contract that included $14 million in guaranteed money. The National Football Post adds that Barron is now wearing No. 23.
