Dolphins' Liam Eichenberg: Uncertainty on playing career
Eichenberg (knee) told reporters Monday that he's uncertain he'll be able to play again, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Eichenberg suffered a leg injury during offseason training in 2025, which led to him being placed on the PUP list and missing the entire season, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. While he expressed a desire to play in 2026, Eichenberg's comments suggest that he isn't progressing as much in his recovery as he would like. If he ends up not playing again, the 2021 second-rounder will end his NFL career having started 52 of 60 regular-season games.

Dolphins' Liam Eichenberg: Weeks away from return
Head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Eichenberg (undisclosed) still needs "several weeks" to return from his injury, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Eichenberg missed all of training camp due to an undisclosed injury, which led to the Dolphins moving the fifth-year offensive lineman to the reserve/PUP list in late August. The nature of his injury hasn't been disclosed, but it appears Eichenberg will not see the field until late in the 2025 season, if at all.

Dolphins' Liam Eichenberg: Moves to reserve/PUP list
Eichenberg (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/PUP list by the Dolphins on Tuesday.
The designation means that the offensive guard will have to miss at least the first four regular-season games. Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said in July that Eichenberg would have to miss several weeks, per David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, though at that point he was still expected back for the start of the regular season. The 2021 second-round pick started 14 of 17 regular-season games for Miami in 2024 and has started 53 of the 61 games he's played in during his career, regular season and postseason.

Dolphins' Liam Eichenberg: Will be sidelined for several weeks
Head coach Mike McDaniel said this week that Eichenberg (undisclosed) will be out for several weeks, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
There's now more clarity on Eichenberg's status after he was placed on the active/PUP list Monday with an undisclosed injury. The 27-year-old is, however, expected to be back for the start of the regular season. In his absence, Daniel Brunskill will likely see extended usage during practice.

Dolphins' Liam Eichenberg: Starting camp on PUP list
Miami placed Eichenberg (undisclosed) on the active/PUP list Tuesday.
It's unclear what type of issue Eichenberg is dealing with, but he's currently unable to practice. He can be activated at any point during the preseason. Eichenberg was a starter last season but is slated for a backup role in 2025 after the Dolphins signed James Daniels (Achilles) in March.

Dolphins' Liam Eichenberg: Back with Miami
The Dolphins re-signed Eichenberg to a one-year contract Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Eichenberg appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Dolphins last season, making 14 starts. He played all 1,036 of his offensive snaps at right guard. Miami signed RG James Daniels in free agency earlier in the week, but both he and Eichenberg have experience along the interior of the offensive line. Fixing the offensive line is a priority for the Dolphins this offseason.
