Kuefler (upper body) has been removed from the non-roster injured list and was returned to AHL Bridgeport on Tuesday.
Kuefler was hurt in a preseason game against the Devils on Sept. 23, but he'll head to the minors now that he's seemingly moved past his upper-body issue. The 23-year-old appeared in 16 games with Bridgeport last season, logging two helpers, 11 PIM and a minus-8 rating.

Kuefler missed Thursday's preseason game against the Rangers due to his upper-body injury, and he'll also be held out for the second half of the back-to-back set. It's not yet clear when he'll be back to full health, but he'll likely head to AHL Bridgeport once the regular season gets underway.

Kuefler left Tuesday's preseason game versus the Devils due to an upper-body injury, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
Kuefler was injured in the first period. The 23-year-old forward is not expected to make the NHL roster even if he's able to shake off this day-to-day injury in a timely manner. He will spend most, if not all, of 2025-26 in the minors with AHL Bridgeport.
