Tverberg made his NHL debut this season, logging two games for the Leafs in which he generated three hits, one shot and two PIM. If the 24-year-old Ontario native can bring the offensive upside he showed in the minors -- 14 goals and 18 assists in 61 games -- he should be capable of earning more NHL opportunities in 2026-27.

Tverberg was called up by the Maple Leafs on an emergency basis Thursday.
Tverberg has 14 goals, 32 points and 34 PIM in 61 outings with AHL Toronto this season. The 24-year-old hasn't made his NHL debut yet, but the Maple Leafs might give him a chance to show what he can do during this stint with the big club.

Tverberg scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Toronto's 5-1 win over Syracuse on Wednesday.
Tverberg started the year slowly, but he has earned 14 points over his last 17 contests. Overall, he's at nine goals and 24 points through 50 appearances. The 24-year-old hasn't received a call-up to the Maple Leafs, and he will be a restricted free agent after this season.
