  • Jets' Kieron Walton: Three-point showing in win

Walton scored two goals and added an assist in OHL Sudbury's 6-3 win over Barrie on Friday. Walton crossed the 30-point mark on the year with this performance. He has 15 goals, 16 helpers, 128 shots on net and a minus-11 rating through 20 appearances. He'll continue to carve out a large share of offense for the Wolves, who are often leaning on their top players for scoring.

  • Jets' Kieron Walton: Massive shot volume in OHL loss

Walton scored twice on 13 shots in OHL Sudbury's 4-3 loss to Owen Sound on Saturday. Walton has three multi-goal games over his last four outings. Additionally, he has posted no fewer than four shots in any of his 11 contests this year, totaling 11 goals on 71 shots and eight assists. Walton's offense has been superb, though with Sudbury's struggles, he could be a candidate to get traded to an OHL team that's closer to contention before the end of the campaign.

  • Jets' Kieron Walton: Five-point game for Wolves

Walton scored twice and added three assists in OHL Sudbury's 8-2 win over Peterborough on Sunday. Walton should be among the candidates for weekly honors in the OHL this week after a three-goal, eight-point performance over two games. The 19-year-old is up to seven goals and eight assists across eight contests for the Wolves this season. Sudbury is still last in the OHL, but its NHL-affiliated prospects have been fantastic lately.

  • Jets' Kieron Walton: In concussion protocol

Walton is in the concussion protocol as a result of the injury he sustained during Saturday's prospects game versus Montreal, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports Thursday. Walton wasn't on the ice with the Jets on Thursday as a result of the injury. The 19-year-old might get a chance to make an impression in preseason action if he's available, but he's not expected to make the Jets' Opening Night roster. Walton had 38 goals and 92 points in 66 regular-season appearances with OHL Sudbury in 2024-25.

  • Jets' Kieron Walton: Signs ELC

Walton signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Jets on Sunday, per PuckPedia. The 18-year-old center's stock has taken off since he was drafted in the sixth round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. Walton logged 38 goals and 92 points in 66 appearances with OHL Sudbury this season, more than double his 43-point effort across 65 outings in 2023-24 with the same club. The 6-foot-6 forward is a strong playmaker, and while his entry-level deal kicks in for 2025-26, he'll still be eligible to play in the junior ranks for his age-19 campaign.
