Nunez announced his retirement from professional baseball Thursday via his personal Instagram.

Nunez signed with the Fubon Guardians of the Chinese Professional Baseball League in April but played in only seven games this year, and he won't make another attempt to play in 2023. The 35-year-old played in 858 contests across 11 big-league seasons with the Yankees, Twins, Red Sox, Giants and Mets, and he finished with a .276/.310/.404 slash line, 58 home runs, 309 RBI and 142 stolen bases.
