Kevin Newman: Let go by Reds

Newman was released by the Reds on Wednesday.

Newman had been designated for assignment earlier this week, and he's now officially a free agent. The veteran infielder might have to settle for a minor-league contract this offseason after putting up just a .619 OPS over the last four seasons.
