Kyle Funkhouser: Non-tendered after DFA

The Tigers declined to tender Funkhouser (shoulder) a contract for 2023.

Detroit foreshadowed this move by designating Funkhouser for assignment earlier in the week. He missed all of 2022 with a shoulder injury, one which required surgery in July. Funkhouser said at the time that he expected to be ready for spring training.
