Marlins' Deven Marrero: Contract selected by Miami

Marrero's contract was selected by the Marlins on Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Marrero was designated for assignment Wednesday, but he went unclaimed on waivers and will rejoin the major-league roster after Jazz Chisholm (illness) was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Monday. The 30-year-old will fill a depth role in Miami's infield.
