Bleier signed a two-year, $6 million extension with the Marlins on Monday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
Bleier made 68 relief appearances in 2021 during his first full season with the Marlins, and he recorded 20 holds with a 2.95 ERA and 0.98 WHIP in 58 innings. He failed to convert any of his six save chances, but he'll be rewarded with a two-year extension and should be in the mix for a late-inning role in 2022.
